4 Moringa Chocolate Truffles
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (225 grams) dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons moringa powder
- Coating options: cocoa powder, powdered sugar, crushed nuts, or more moringa powder (for rolling the truffles)
Instructions
- Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl and set it aside.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Remove from heat.
- Pour the hot cream and butter mixture over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute to allow the heat to melt the chocolate.
- Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth and shiny.
- Add the moringa powder to the ganache and stir until well combined.
- Cover the ganache with plastic wrap, making sure the plastic wrap touches the surface of the ganache. This prevents a skin from forming.
- Refrigerate the ganache for at least 2 hours or until firm enough to handle.
- Once the ganache is chilled and firm, prepare the coatings by placing them in separate shallow bowls.
- Using a spoon or a melon baller, scoop out small portions of the ganache and roll them into balls between your palms.
- Roll each truffle in the desired coating, gently pressing the coating into the truffle to ensure it sticks.
- Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Repeat the process until all the ganache is used.
- Once all the truffles are formed and coated, refrigerate them for about 30 minutes to set.
- After setting, the Moringa Chocolate Truffles are ready to be enjoyed! You can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
